Holistic Psychotherapy
Holistic Psychotherapy centers on the
philosophy of embracing the whole being in the process of healing.
Rather than traditional “talk” therapy, this approach seeks to
bring balance into the biological, psychological, sociocultural, and
spiritual aspects of the self. This philosophy towards psychotherapy
embraces, not only the personal experience of the nuclear family, but
also the social and cultural factors that may have played a factor
into a person's development. Holistic Psychotherapy is guided on the
premise that imbalance in one aspect of an individual will ultimately
lead to over or under functioning in the other parts of a person to compensate. Integration of all systems is a primary goal
derived through a compassionate, eclectic stance on the part of the
therapist.
Influenced by Transpersonal,
Humanistic, and Narrative psychotherapy, I use a client-centered
approach, which allows you to unfold at your own pace. My
practice of Holistic Psychotherapy goes on the premise that we are
all inherently self-healing, containing our own inner resources and
strengths to fully develop and blossom.
